Every gathering, event, and community group is made possible by the constant serving of people in our church family. Currently, we're looking for individuals gifted in the following areas of serving:
- Connections Team: helps guests feel welcome, and connects them to community groups and others in the church.
- Worship & AV: through the singing, playing of instruments, our worship team leads the church weekly. We're also in need of individuals gifted or willing to be taught, help with the sound, A.V., and logistics of worship.
- RiverKids: helps with the check-in, leading, teaching, and care for the children of our church.

Our next Second Sunday will be June 9th! We will again be joining Morris Brown AME Church for their Sunday worship service. On the second Sunday of every second month, we pursue relationships specifically across cultures. We desire to be a part of the work of racial and cultural reconciliation inside the church and in our city. We encourage you to come early and stay late. One of our main goals is to build relationships, so let’s make time for that before and after the services.

Several people from River Church will be attending a multi-cultural worship service called The Gathering this Saturday (1/19) at 6 pm. The service will be held at Aldersgate UMC located at 1444 Remount Road in North Charleston. There is a children's ministry for 3rd grade and under. The Gathering is a new multi-ethnic contemporary worship service for Remount Road and North Charleston. We are committed to biblical and traditional Christianity, passionate about worship, and dedicated to seeing lives transformed by the Good News of Jesus Christ. We hope you'll join us there!

We will be taking another group up to Myrtle Beach to help continue the much needed hurricane relief work. Last time, we carpooled up there with supplies. Housing and tools will be provided as well as training before getting to work.

We are planning on sending a group up to the Myrtle Beach area on October 12-14th to serve those that were affected by the hurricane. There is still room for more if you would like to be a part of this opportunity to help and serve! The team is leaving very early on Friday morning to take the items up to that area. You can also donate supplies to help those that were affected. There will be a trailer set up this week at the Carolina One offices on Orleans Road where supplies can be dropped off.
For information on the trip or donating supplies, please contact
Chris Facello at chris@riverchurch.com.
